BidOut.me is designed with a privacy-first architecture. We do not sell your personal data, we do not use cross-site behavioral advertising trackers, and we never monetize user browsing habits.

2. Privacy-Safe Click Tracking

To provide transparent click metrics on the leaderboard while protecting visitor privacy:

• Cryptographic IP Anonymization: IP addresses for outbound click tracking are converted into one-way SHA-256 cryptographic hashes combined with a rotating daily salt. Raw IP addresses are never saved in plain text.
• No Invasive Third-Party Tracking Cookies: We do not place persistent tracking beacons or advertising cookies on visitor browsers.
• Click Spam Filtering: Hashed identifiers prevent click bots and artificial inflation without deanonymizing visitors.

3. Information We Collect

• Account Credentials: If you register, we store your email address and a cryptographically salted password hash (bcrypt). Plaintext passwords are never visible to anyone, including platform administrators.
• Listing Submissions: Website URLs, titles, descriptions, and category selections that you choose to publish publicly.
• Billing & Transaction Logs: Stripe transaction identifiers and payment amounts. We do not store raw credit card numbers or CVV codes on our servers.

4. Payment Gateway Data Processing

All payment transactions are handled directly through certified, PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways (Stripe). Your financial data is protected by industry-standard TLS encryption directly between your device and the payment processor.

5. Your Data Rights & Deletion

You have full ownership of your listings and account. You may request account deletion, listing unpublishing, or data exports anytime by contacting our support team.
